Fun Weekend!

Thanks to Andrew, Loke, McKayla, and Tyler for a great weekend! We went to Lake Las Vegas on Friday. It is so nice out there! We took a picnic and layed on the grass and listened to a live band while our kids ran and danced around. It was so nice! Saturday, we all went to Mt. Charleston to go camping. It was our first time up there. It's beautiful and reminds me of Utah. It's so much cooler too, which was fabulous considering it's been 107! It was 73 when we got up there and really cold at night. I was kinda in shock that something so cold and beautiful could be so close to Las Vegas. We had a blast and ate yummy dutch oven for dinner and breakfast. What could be better?! Thanks guys!

Vacation!!

So, we were able to go to California a week or so ago and had a blast! After moving, it was much needed. We had lots of fun at the beach, although if you know me at all, you know I didn't get in whatsoever! Hello, we watched Shark Week before we went!! Anyways, Reagan is fearless as always and had so much fun in the water and playing in the sand. (K, I can't get this to format right, so I'm just gonna explain them all here, and the pictures will be clumped together!) We ate lots of good food, including Ruby's Diner, Yum! Nick was able to go deep-sea fishing, which he loves!! We decided not to do any parks because we just did all of them in March and it was just too hot to stand in long lines, especially when Reagan's still to young to beg!! :) We spent an extra day by ourselves and went to Santa Monica Pier. It was our anniversary (6 years), so it was fun to do something different, even though Reag was with us. We played Putt-Putt and I got the only Hole in One, except for when Reagan would cheat and pick up her ball and just put it in. :) We ate fair food, heard great music, saw the famous farris wheel and the E! Booth! We went to the aqaurium there, which Reagan loved. They even let her touch some of the fish and starfish. We had fun at the arcade and kiddie rides, feeding the pigeons, playing in bubbles, seeing the trapeze people, and we even got to see the fortune teller that was on the movie Big, when he got his fortune to grow up! Too cool! Nick and Reag didn't appreciate it, but I thought it was cool. It was a great day!! And last but not least: Breaking Dawn came out while we were there, so me and my sister-in-law, Andrea, and 3 of my cousins, Nicole, Brianna, and Claire all went to a midnight party at Barnes and Noble! I know, gayballs!! We were definatley the oldest ones there and maybe the most sane! We had fun though and I enjoyed reading all the way home! Overall, it was a great trip with great people, but always goes by way too fast!

More exciting news!!!

So, I am super excited to finally be able to say that we are adding to our little family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Most of you know that we have issues with infertility. I thought Reagan was hard, but she was nothing compared to this go around! We did fertility drugs with her and it happened pretty quickly once we figured out what was wrong. She ended up taking a little over a year. This time, we had to do fertility drugs again, but I thought it would happen quickly again since now we knew how to fix it. Not so! This time we did the drugs and also Intra-uterine Insemination, ie. artificial insemination, ie. the turkey baster! :) Yeah, good times!! No, not really. We only had two months left before my doctor wanted me to go on a six month break, so the pressure was on. It didn't work the first month, which was really hard to take in, but it worked on the last shot qualifier!! Overall, we'd been trying a year and a half when it finally worked. I think it was actually harder this time for two reasons: 1.) I was on a timeline that I couldn't control and Reagan was just getting older the the gap wider; and 2.) I knew what I was missing. Anyways!!! It worked and we are so excited! I am 2 months along, which I know is still early, but I couldn't not say any longer!!! I love it and could not be happier. I am due in March, which is when I wanted to be, but a year ago! :) But I'm not complaining, I feel so blessed that it happening for us again after many, many, many months of discouragment. I know that it is only happening because of many prayers, fasting, blessings, and faith (not always mine). I put pictures of the little bean's ultrasound at 6 1/2 weeks--- 6 1/2 mm long. I also have a picture of how we told our families with this card I made. MANY MANY thanks to all of you who said prayers. I know it is because of this that we have this blessing.

Exciting News.....

So, the day has finally come!! I can say that we are moved and settled in. We got our keys last Friday and started moving. We worked so hard and got so much done. We painted the entire house with help from awesome friends and family (thanks to my dad, Eric, Chantel, Taylor, Justin, & Chauncey), we also installed ceiling fans (thank you Drew!) and locks and new carpet, moved everything and unpacked and decorated... all in one week! We had family coming to stay this weekend, and me being the Type A that I am, wanted everything ready for them. Nonetheless, we are pooped!!! Poor Nick, he was working on about 4-5 hours every day. And for most people, that's hard, but for Nick, it's unheard of!! :) Most of you know what I mean! Anyways, we got it done and love it! Thank you to everyone who helped us move, watched Reagan, did the brunt work, and brought us dinner. We are so blessed to have great family and friends!! It's been fun, but I am so ready to just relax!!! We went to Chuck E-Cheese's this weekend with my sister's family. Not exactly the best way to relax :), but the kids had a blast and it wore them out! We will also be going to California this week for vacation!! It is much needed and we can't wait to get away and out of this heat. We will be playing with Nick's side of the family and can't wait to see everyone. It's always good times! I'll make sure to post pictures when we get back and also some of the house.

More July 4th Pics!

July 4th Weekend

We had a great Fourth of July Weekend. We went home to Caliente and had lots of fun with family. My dad just bought a Rhino, so right when we got there, we went for a ride up the canyon. The next day was the 4th. It's the first year that Reagan was really old enough to know what's going on and to enjoy it. We went to the parade and Reagan got lots of candy. Then we went to the park for kids games and the bounce house; later was four-wheeling, then the fireworks, then a movie! It was a late night! Early the next morning we went to the race to watch 2 of Nicks brothers, Eric & Justin. Nick helped pit and we mostly just watched! Then later was food and fun and naps! Early Sunday morning we went to Bunkerville (just south of mesquite) for 2 cousin's baby blessings. That was fun to see them and eat and relax. Overall, it was a great, fun-packed weekend!

Swimming

We love going swimming, especially now that we are in Las Vegas. It's crazy that it can get so hot here! We go to the Rec Center that's lots of fun, especially for kids; and we also go to our cousins timeshare. Thanks for sharing Drew and Loke!

Won-Ton Night!!

We love Won-Ton night!! So my favorite cousin ever, Loke, has been in Hawaii for an entire month and I've been going through withdrawl. We live down the street from each other and her daughter, McKayla, is only 2 months older than Reag, so we play lots!!!! The week that she got home, we put her to work making her famous and AWESOME won-tons! They are so good, the best I've ever had. We love getting together. It always involves food, games, and lots of fun! We love you guys!

I HATE Moving!!

So, I can't wait for the one day when I am either a.) rich, or b.) have a magic genie!! I hate moving so much. The only good thing about it is re-organizing and DI-ing things! We've been able to get rid of lots, which is crazy because I did this when we moved 1 1/2 years ago. It's crazy how quickly we accumulate (and when I say "we", I really mean my pack-rat husband :) )! We were doing Reagan's room the other day and she had so much fun putting toys in boxes. Little did she know, most would end up staying boxed in the garage for future children. Nontheless, she had fun!

So, it's been awhile....

I know I haven't been very good at this, but I promise to do better! Things have been crazy busy with us lately. We've had lots of fun though! We were able to go to a Las Vegas Wranglers Hockey playoff game, Nick's been riding his dirt bike as much as he can, and we've been at the pool tons. I guess the most exciting news is that we are buying a house!! We will still be in Las Vegas for a few more years and the market is so great right now for buyers, so we are moving! We should close no later than two weeks, maybe sooner. I'll post a picture of the outside and inside ones once we get settled in. Reagan went to a fun day camp of activities this morning. It is with the lady who will be her preschool teacher in the Fall. She is a sweetheart in our ward who loves teaching and kids, so it works great! It was weird to set our alarm, but great to be able to run errands. It was so much quicker! :) So, things are good!
