Christmas

Christmas was so great this year.  It's amazing how much can change in one year.  I remember trying to really focus on my blessings last year.  At that time, we were on a break from fertility treatments and I remember being so sad that they didn't work and just wondering over and over if I were "kicking a dead horse" or if I just needed to persevere and just keep pushing.  It was so hard to know!! I decided that while we were breaking, I would work on me for a bit and get my thyroid on track and lose the weight I'd gained from the drugs, etc and just really try and enjoy the great kids I do have.  And now this year, I'm holding my little 1 week old baby while my my other kiddies are opening gifts and so excited...it hit me how blessed we really have been and how things don't always happen when we want or the way we want, but I truly know that the Lord hears our prayers.  I know because I begged for another baby multiple times a day for years. But, I also knew that if it didn't happen, it would be super crappy yes, but I knew it was for a reason.  I didn't know the reason and it made me so sad, but I knew that it would be for the best.  I'm so thankful that it did happen though.  I am currently sleep-deprived and I think I showered 4 days ago (maybe), but I don't even care....I am loving this baby and SO SO thankful to our Heavenly Father for this sweet, perfect Spirit that he has trusted to us for a time.  Now, I just want time to stop so I can enjoy my sweet family longer. How thankful I am for eternal families so that I can be with them forever.  What a true blessing that is to know.

Nick surprised me with this beautiful picture I've wanted for years and of course a sweet card that made me tear up.  He's always so good to me.

Perfect day- Me napping with the baby and watching the Disney Parade, kids watching and playing with their toys, Nick made breakfast....all while waiting for my family to come over for dinner and movies. 

The next day we went to Caliente to visit Nick's family.  It was great this year because all of his siblings were home.  It was a crazy, fun madhouse! Lots of gaming, basketball, eating and shooting happened.  Good times!
