Funny words

Just a few funny things that they have said lately. Hunter singing in nursery: "Jesus wants me for a sun...beat! A sun...beat!"

Instead of just saying "no", Hunter does: "uuuuuhhhhhhhhh, no". Kinda gets your hopes up at first, then he shoots them down with a no. :)

Reagan asked me today who were the first people on the Earth. I told her Heavenly Father and Christ made Adam, then Eve so they could have kids and make lots of people here. She said: "How did Jesus make Adam and Steve go there??" I died laughing!

Reagan couldn't hear me in the truck so she asked me to "Turn up my voice".

She got surprised and said it made her heart beep fast.

She is super smart and says things like-- "would you rather" and "especially" and "extremely". And she says them properly! I can't believe how old she is getting so quickly. She said the other day that this is just our temporary home and our real home is with Jesus in Heaven. It gave me goose bumps!

Cabin Weekend!

Last weekend we had a fun Holt Family Cabin Trip. It was so much! Everyone was there but Justin. :( We ate lots of good food, played games, won prizes, hit a pinata, played more games, rode the side by side and dirt bikes and ate more food! The only thing that would have made it better was to have another day.

All the little kids got some chances then the big kids wanted to take turns too. We blasted that thing to DEATH!

Labor Day Weekend

This year Labor Day was way lame-o! Nick had to work long shifts both Saturday and Sunday so we couldn't go anywhere. Boo! He had off Monday though so we decided to go to explore. We went to a few lakes then ended up in Pine Valley. It was fun to go and chill for a bit, even though we got skunked! Nick has no good luck when it comes to fishing. He takes away all the Jones luck and fills it with bad ju-ju! :) He's way too impatient and just wants to play with all the fun things in his tacklebox!!

Girls Weekend!! Holla!!!! (Just kidding, I don't say holla!!)

About a month ago, some of my AWESOME friends from LV came to visit. The first night we ate at Pizza Factory then went to the house we were staying at. Some girls got in the pool, but then it started raining so we went in.

The next day we went tubing down the Virgin River. It was SOOO much fun! We had a slight detour in Colorado City!! Then had a bumpy backroad scenic drive. It was lots of fun though. Seriously I was so sore the next day from laughing so much and my arms about popped out of their sockets trying to hold each others' tubes. So.Much.Fun!!! This is Staci and Holly planking!

After we went to tubing, we had to go shopping of course then quick food and off to the show. It was ok, but I liked Little Mermaid better. Still fun to go with the girls though!

This is where we stayed--a huge, empty house that was a blast!! It was perfect! This was the basement. We were all able to sleep together. One big slumber party--it was SO fun to visit. I love these girls!!! (We missed you Tara!!)

Missionary Homecoming!!!

Nick's brother Chauncey came home in August from his mission in Texas. He was seriously the best missionary and even tried to extend!! He's a good boy. Reag was SOOO excited and seriously didn't leave his side the entire time. There were 4 grandkids when he left, but Reag was the only one that wasn't a baby. She was 4 and the other three were infants. Chauncey loved seeing everyone, but you could tell he was overwhelmed. It was SO nice to see him. We are so proud of him!

It was so nice because he was able to fly into St. George, so afterwards everyone came to our house for dinner and visiting. It was still pretty hot, but the kids had fun outside. This is Hunter and Gaby.

Justin was even able to be here. He's been ranching in Montana while waiting for school to start. He and his girlfriend Stephanie flew in a few days before. She's super cute!

First Day of School

Reagan started 1st Grade in August. She did sooooo great!!! She is always so excited for new things, but then get's way scared when it comes down to the actual moment. We went school shopping together and clothes shopping and talked about her teacher and lunch and all that great stuff. I went to work that morning then left for a bit to come and take her to school. She was so excited and ready to go. I though, ok so I guess she'll just have her breakdown at the school, yay! We hurried and went and seriously she did SOOOO good! Not one tear!!!! She went in and found her name and started on the activity page. I kinda couldn't believe it! I mean, I'm way glad she didn't cry, that makes it all so much worse. I'm not gonna lie though, I might have been teary behind my sunglasses!!!! :)

We were so lucky to get the best 1st Grade teacher!!! She is so great with the kids. I heart her! :) It's amazing to see how much Reag is already reading! I can't believe how fast kids learn. Reag eats it up too. She LOVES school!

This isn't a great picture, but it's Reagan with her Grandpa Holt and Great Grandpa Wes. Pretty cool! A month of so ago some of Nick's cousins and brothers and Dad and Grandpa met in Enterprise to go fishing with Grandpa Wes. Some of the older cousins were special enough to get the invite too, so they got up SUPER early and enjoyed the day together. Very special!! Reag loved it!

Where to begin??

You know how sometimes when you get really behind in blogging and you don't know where to start, so you just avoid it even longer? Well, that's how I've been!! We had such a fabulous summer!! We were busy for most of it. I really took advantage of having the time off and got lots of projects done: made blog books, re-did all three of our bedrooms, re-furnished some cute pieces, sewed lots, traveled lots, and about a million other things!! We moved Hunter out of his crib since he was climbing in and out of it like that's what you are supposed to do. We switched him into bunk beds and made it all a sports theme. We shipped kids home for the weekend and Nick and I enjoyed a few days to ourselves. It was nice and weird at the same time to be at the house, but with no kids. Anyways, we got his room all switched and were so excited to show him. He LOVED it! Until he had to sleep in it! "Hunter scared of monsters!!" Is what he would always say and kinda whine. It took a few days of him saying this and being scared and then Reag says, "maybe I shouldn't have told him about monsters". Um, hello!!! Love that sisterly love! Anyways, he's good now and they love playing together on the top bunk. A fun story---Hunter has started saying "yes" totally now instead of "yeah", but he has a little lisp on the "s". It's actually really cute (hoping it's gone by the time he's 12!). We were at the Enterprise Rodeo and were watching the Rodeo Princesses and Queens. Reagan says, "I want to be a cowgirl princess!!" So of course, Hunter says "Hunter wants to be a cowgirl princess!". I laugh and say "you do?" to which he says "yes" with a lisp! Nick and I about died laughing (Nick a little nervous!). Anyways, LOVE these kiddos! They make me laugh everyday!!!
