I feel old.....

I felt so old when I opened a wedding invitation for our old babysitter.  Linzie is the cutest and we love her whole family....she was our first sitter when we moved to Las Vegas and we loved her sweet little family and how much they adopted us into the ward.  She was only 13 and Reag was about 2.  Crazy how fast it all goes!!!! We made a quick trip down to LV.....Hunter said she looked like a princess.....it was so fun to see her and her family.  We love them tons!!!

More Randoms

There was a fire truck outside the store the other day and the firemen were so sweet to let Hunter check it out...

The other night, we were all dead tired and the kids were kinda weiny so I just thought...forget it, let's watch a movie and just chill......this NEVER happens on a weeknight.  There's ALWAYS SO MUCH TO DO!!!! It felt so good to lay down and have my sweet kiddies curl up next to me.  This was my view....my heaven.

I walked into the kids room at the library and this is what I saw.....I have the BEST husband EVER!!! My kids are so blessed to have him as their dad.

We had family down for the weekend for a tournament.  It was fun to get to see them for a bit, sadly this is the only picture I got!!!! Lame!!! Reagan and Brinley

A few funny things---

Reag's last fish died and Nick was cleaning out the tank...Hunter was "helping"....He said "Dad, don't flush it, it'll get dead!!!!" Nick said, "it's already dead."  Hunter- "no, then it will get dead again!!!!"

I was saying that I'll be 40 when Reag is old enough to move out.  Reag  then asks, "Dad, will you be like 70?!"  I laughed pretty hard...Nick, notsomuch! :)

I took Hunter to his preschool assessment and was pretty proud watching him.  He said some funny things and also missed some, but got a lot of things right too.  One part--there was a flip book of pictures.  One was an octopus and he said squid....I was pretty proud!!! He scored on the 5 year old level on this test.  The next test, he had to pick the right thing out of 4 pictures on another flip book.....he scored a 7 year old level on this one.  Again, I'm pretty proud.  Keep in mind, he was 8 weeks early, 3 pounds 6 ounces and was on oxygen and really sick for a long time....we weren't sure if he'd be behind or not.  On another part, they showed him a picture of a dad and kid and asked what another name for a father is.  At first, he wasn't sure and just hmmmm'ed, his teacher asked again and finally he said.... "Jesus"!!! Holy, I was pretty proud!!!!!! I didn't even care about the ones he'd missed. :)

In primary last week, he got to help in the front. They asked him what can we do on our knees....he of course answers...we drive cars on our knees! They were looking for praying....he says, "no, we use our arms for prayers!!"  Pretty funny!

Valentine's Day

Valentine's was fun this year! My dad got the kids some things the night before.....including a MASSIVE teddy bear that only grandparents get your kids! We made some yummy sugar cookies that we ate on and also took to work to share. Nick and Hunter brought me the HUGEST bouquet of flowers that I have ever had....like I never got something so big...even when I birthed our kids....or said yes!! Pretty cool and yummy Sweet Tooth Fairy...LOVE! It was very thoughtful and made me feel so special.  That morning I left everyone's Valentine's on the counter before I left so they got to have some goodies that day.  After work, Nick and I went to dinner and a movie. When we got home, the kids and my dad had made cheesecakes for us, super cute! ....Successful Valentine's 2013!

 

Basketball

Reag played basketball for the first time the last few months.  It's been so fun to watch!! She's done a great job and really gotten more confident as it went on.  We noticed a huge change and she loved it! She told me to just always sign her up, don't even ask her! Yay!!!!!! We tried not to push too hard, but secretly hoped she's love it and want to do it more.  After her last game we went to a movie to celebrate.  I love hanging out with my family.  They're so fun!!

Made curtains! Nick's like, why do we need curtains? (He's cheap, remember?!) I said that curtains are like mascara.  You don't have to have it, but it really makes it all pop when you do.  He thought I was crazy, but afterwards...he agreed!
