First Day Of School

Reagan started 3rd grade this year and is really getting so big and pretty and grown up.  She's a GREAT reader, has friends has been playing sports and helps her teacher lots.  Math is not the funnest for her or us, but we get through it! (Barely, some nights!)

Hunter started his 2nd year of Preschool.  He has a lot of fun, but is ready to be at "sissy's school".

Ran to Swig after school for a drink and treat. They were both excited and happy with how the day went, but were way tired that night! Me too!!! 

30....what?!

Wow, where did the time go? I turned 30 in August.  I'm good with it, but remember when 30 seemed so old.  Remember that song from Deanna Carter?! I always think of that.  But for real...I thought I'd have it so much more together when I was 30 and I guess I do compared to 20, but still not like I thought I would.  I guess I shouldn't complain...I have a Master's degree, nice home, vehicles that are comfortable and run good, a great career, fabulous friends and family, the Gospel and most importantly--a wonderful husband who loves me even when I'm crazy and 2.5 awesome kids that keep me on my toes!! Life is good...even when it's not as rosy and wonderful as I thought it SEEMED to be or would be at 30. Life is good!!!

I got a cute cake made for me this year. And Nick brought me flowers.  He also brought my favorite yummy cupcakes to me at work to share with my peeps.  It was cute! 

That weekend we left kids and went to Vegas! Nick surprised me by calling our friends and having them meet us at my favorite---Cheesecake Factory!! It was so fun to see them and visit and have my faves all at the same time!! Love you all so much!!!!!! And super sweet of Nick to surprise me. 

We stayed at the M Resort (thanks Chrissy for that hook-up!).  That's tv in the mirror! 

We ate SO MUCH of our favorite foods and did some of our favorite things....without kids or a schedule...it was heaven!!!  Such a perfect birthday weekend!

Quick Shout Out

Love this girl!!!! They came up for baseball games and we were able to let kids play together and watch the games and have dinner and visit.  We love this sweet family!!!

Finishing Summer

 The end of our summer was really fun, but pretty uneventful this year.  No major trips or vacations, but we did do lots of fun things.  Swim lessons, parades, fireworks, fishing, camping, reunions, parties, etc. It's always a fun time and seems to go by WAY too fast! I love having a schedule, but hate all the demands on our time and always wish we could slow down more.

Pioneer Day Parade 2013

Super cool---President and Sister Holland were the final surprise in the parade...but by the time I realized it was them, they were already passing!!! That's them in the last carriage.  It was a small parade, but the Spirit was there, especially when the scouts were dressed as the Stripling Warriors doing chants....so powerful!!!

She had so much fun at her friends' party that we decided to throw one at our house before school started.  The girls had popcorn and watched Teen Beach movie and painted nails and ate treats and had a blast!

Slow down.....

Wow!! I can't believe I haven't updated since July! I always think I'm going to do better...then life takes over and we go into major survival mode! I'm honestly not sure if I'm really even in the mood to post now, but I figure you kinda just have to jump in and get it done or you'll never get caught up.  I've printed a yearly book for the past five years and plan on doing that again this year...so I better get on it!

Quickie Vegas Trip

Yesterday morning we were kind of lounging...avoiding all the things we needed to do and Nick says, let's run down to Vegas and do the early ultrasound and find out!!! Holy cow, I jumped all over that! I love road trips, avoiding the to do list and having fun with my sweet little family and to find out what we are having...the biggest bonus ever!

We had so much fun.  We took the kids to Chuck-E-Cheese, Hunters first time.  Then we grabbed cupcakes.  Then we jetted to the ultrasound.  Then we went to Babies-R-Us and bought a few things.  Then we got yummy Cheesecake Factory and came back home.  It was a pretty great day!!!

Any guesses on what #3's gonna be??
