Should I be nervous???

New Park

You know you're a mom when you're excited to find and check out new parks! It has been raining off and on the past few days, which I LOVE!!!, so we had a perfect break in it and the weather was fab so we ran and got some food and headed to a new park. We had so much fun just playing in the water, dribbling (begging Reag to play basketball), and enjoying ourselves.

Eastons

Can I tell you how much we love having visitors?! We are a major hub for our family because of the temple, shopping, dr, etc and a major hub of our friends because St. George is just a fun place to visit and hello, we're awesome!! Just Kidding! Ha Ha!!! :) The other day we had our good friends the Eastons at our house.  These were friends from LV and we both moved about the same time.  Neelie was my saving grace when Hunter was in the NICU.  Her twins were born 3 weeks earlier and were NICU neighbors with Hunter.  They were in our ward too! Needless to say, we became fast friends and major confidantes in navigating the NICU rollercoaster.

Good Times at the Beaves!

Every year my family has a huge reunion in the Beaver Mountains.  It's good times with camping, dutch-oven cooking, fishing, canoeing and lots of laughing.  This year though, there were knats.....ALOT OF KNATS.  It kinda really ruined it for me, but still good times when we got away from them! Thanks Phillips' for LOTS OF PEE-IN-YOUR-PANTS LAUGHING!!!!! And hello...fried cheese curds....homerade ranch...can life get any better??!!! :)

 

Fun with Friends

We had our faves come with us camping last weekend so they came and stayed the night before we left town.  We had another family over too which was a blast.  We ate lots of food, there were 9 kiddies that played really good together and we did sparklers.  Good times!! Then Loke and I stayed up till 2 or 3 talking and we still ended up being on the freeway by 9! And Nick and I still had to pack and finish loading the truck...I feel good about 9!!! :)

4th of July

A few days later we got up early and went to the parade.  It was just so-so.  Sadly, the one a month ago was much better.  This was had a lot of big gaps, not much shade and hardly any candy for the kiddies....just politicians....boo!!! On that note.....it was fun being close to the temple.  We've lived here for almost 2 years and we still love seeing the temple and try to not take it for granted as much as possible.  After the parade we ran and got breakfast then went shopping and packing for a family reunion camping trip.  Here are some of the parade highlights:

I am so thankful to live in a free country.  I can remember when I was little...my mom was very patriotic and would cry when she saw the flag and would always say we were so blessed to be born here.  At the time, I didn't really get it.  But now, I'm completely the same and can get teary-eyed too.  I just feel so blessed to live in this country and have the freedoms we have.  I am trully so thankful for all of those that serve and have served for me to live how I want to live.

So I guess they celebrated some Pioneer things too...this was Brigham Young.  I missed Joseph and Emma. :( You'd be surprised at how close they really looked!
