I hate moving!!!!!

So, I think I say this EVERY time we move, which seems to be alot! At this point, we have moved 7 times in 9 years of marriage. Is that crazy to anyone else??? And alot of those places we stayed at for a few years which means we've had a few fast ones too! I think I was in slight denial about it. Seriously, the week before we had Foster cousins (the Peck's) come and visit for a few days, then about 2 days later we had all of my sister's family and another cousin's family (the Phillip's) come to play for the weekend. We had so much fun!!!! I kinda can't believe I didn't take any pictures of any of the families. Lame-o!!!! Lots of fun!!! They all left and the next day, we starting moving. It was nuts. I hadn't really packed and seriously, local moves are the worst! You think it's no big deal, but then you take a MILLION trips!!!! We moved the whole week, each night after work. We were so tired! We both get up really early, but we had to stay up late each night packing, cleaning, taking trips back and forth. We finished Friday. We had friends moving into our old house, so we needed to make sure everything was ready for them by the morning. We moved until 10, then I took kids home to bed. Nick stayed and did last minute things, then cleaned all the floors/carpets. I felt so guilty leaving him so I stayed up at the new house and got SO MUCH unpacked! We finally went to bed around 1:30. We had to help our friends that morning at 8, so pretty much we were pooped. Then to top it all off, we had tickets to a Jason Aldean concert in SLC. These were bought way before we knew we were moving. I thought about just passing, but Nick really wanted to go. So, my sister was here shopping so she took the kids back to Caliente and Nick and I left at noon-ish. It was nice to relax in the truck, but we were SOOO tired! We stopped at Cabela's super quick and didn't even have time to grab dinner before the concert. Concert was AWESOME!! Much more rock-ish and city country, but still good. Chris Young and Thompson Square opened. Well, we got out of the parking lot around 11:15 and decided we were kinda awake and didn't have a room yet, so we started driving back. We had to stop and chill here and there, but made it back home around 7. We took a quick nap, went to church, then back home to unpack and decorate before we had to get kids that evening. Reminded of two things: 1. Holy cow you can get SO MUCH MORE DONE WITHOUT KIDS!!! and 2. We aren't the young bucks we used to be!!!! No more all-nighters!!!! :)

Halloween Party

My cute friend/super mom, Andrea, planned such a fun Halloween party for her kids. She was nice enough to invite us. She had pizza, candy and so many fun games---doughnut on the string, bobbing for apples, limbo, pinata, dancing, and more. And seriously, like 18 kids and only a few parents. SO BRAVE! The kids had a blast!!!!

Hunter had a blast with all of it. He spilled on his costume, but that didn't slow him down. Just take your bottoms off!!! Reag's more reserved, but still had fun watching and doing some of it!

Feeding the Ducks

One of our favorite things is to feed the ducks. The weather is perfect and it's cheap and easy! Just wondering if Hunter is getting to close here? He made us so nervous!!!! I have a GOOD friend who is terrified of birds/ducks/peacocks, etc. She for sure would have bailed on her kids at this point!! :) Love you Chrissy!!!

First Time For Everything

Well, we completely skipped our first kid and have moved onto Hunter--our first kid to get stitches. They were playing in the bath one night and I heard crying--not gonna lie, I ignored it at first (normal fighting cry). They awhile later I heard crying again, started to go check and Reag ran to me saying Hunter got hurt. He fell and got this awesome gash. Nick was at work, of course!, and kids are dead tired and ready for bed. I got the bleeding to stop, then debated. I took this picture and sent it to my dad and Nick to see what they thought. My dad said, Yep, take him in. NO FUN!!! Thank goodness it was a Friday night and we were the only ones at Instacare. He screamed like mad every time the nurse came in. Both kids were starving and tired. Thank goodness they only did the numbing gel. It was nice to not have a needle, but it took SOOOO LONG!!!!!!! 2 hours later, 2 dead kids, 7 stitches and one tired mom (and onery at her husband who can't use his phone ever at work), we were on our way back home. Of course, Nick gets the 20+ texts I send (first ones tell him what's going on, then increasingly more mad texts go his way!), he calls and checks as I'm getting kids in the car. ANNOYING!!!! :) Get kids home, both crash on the way. Needless to say, it ended fine. I did learn two things though: 1. I'm not nearly as tough as I think I am when it comes to my kids being hurt; and 2. Stitches did not slow him down. I kept worrying he would bust them open!! Oh well, chicks dig scars I guess!

Big News!!!

Hi Everyone! I know I've been WAY behind and the year is coming to end (CAN YOU EVEN BELIEVE THAT?!!!!), which means I need to catch-up so this can be a book soon. I have a great excuse though.....we moved....again......not too far, just out to the fields. We are all settled, internet hooked up, and on a break for Thanksgiving so lots of posts coming up. We have been BUSY!!! I don't have pictures of this house, but it is a better move, even though it stinks to move again so quickly. This is bigger, newer, nicer....perfect for our visitors! Make plans now.....we love having our peeps here! :)

Do you ever have moments like this? Yes, that is diaper rash cream all over Hunter's footboard. And no, this was not the first time it happened!!!

Then, there are moments like this and it makes it ALL WORTH IT!!!! Reagan is getting so old. She loves to wear my heels. Ones that I teeter in and she rocks them out! I can remember doing that with my mom's shoes and now I'm the mom. Do you ever have those moments?!

I love those quiet little moments where you catch them doing something perfect, just being them.

Funny words

Just a few funny things that they have said lately. Hunter singing in nursery: "Jesus wants me for a sun...beat! A sun...beat!"

Instead of just saying "no", Hunter does: "uuuuuhhhhhhhhh, no". Kinda gets your hopes up at first, then he shoots them down with a no. :)

Dullbozer--bulldozer.

Reagan asked me today who were the first people on the Earth. I told her Heavenly Father and Christ made Adam, then Eve so they could have kids and make lots of people here. She said: "How did Jesus make Adam and Steve go there??" I died laughing!

Reagan couldn't hear me in the truck so she asked me to "Turn up my voice".

She got surprised and said it made her heart beep fast.

She is super smart and says things like-- "would you rather" and "especially" and "extremely". And she says them properly! I can't believe how old she is getting so quickly. She said the other day that this is just our temporary home and our real home is with Jesus in Heaven. It gave me goose bumps!

Cabin Weekend!

Last weekend we had a fun Holt Family Cabin Trip. It was so much! Everyone was there but Justin. :( We ate lots of good food, played games, won prizes, hit a pinata, played more games, rode the side by side and dirt bikes and ate more food! The only thing that would have made it better was to have another day.

Labor Day Weekend

This year Labor Day was way lame-o! Nick had to work long shifts both Saturday and Sunday so we couldn't go anywhere. Boo! He had off Monday though so we decided to go to explore. We went to a few lakes then ended up in Pine Valley. It was fun to go and chill for a bit, even though we got skunked! Nick has no good luck when it comes to fishing. He takes away all the Jones luck and fills it with bad ju-ju! :) He's way too impatient and just wants to play with all the fun things in his tacklebox!!

Girls Weekend!! Holla!!!! (Just kidding, I don't say holla!!)

About a month ago, some of my AWESOME friends from LV came to visit. The first night we ate at Pizza Factory then went to the house we were staying at. Some girls got in the pool, but then it started raining so we went in.

The next day we went tubing down the Virgin River. It was SOOO much fun! We had a slight detour in Colorado City!! Then had a bumpy backroad scenic drive. It was lots of fun though. Seriously I was so sore the next day from laughing so much and my arms about popped out of their sockets trying to hold each others' tubes. So.Much.Fun!!! This is Staci and Holly planking!

After we went to tubing, we had to go shopping of course then quick food and off to the show. It was ok, but I liked Little Mermaid better. Still fun to go with the girls though!

This is where we stayed--a huge, empty house that was a blast!! It was perfect! This was the basement. We were all able to sleep together. One big slumber party--it was SO fun to visit. I love these girls!!! (We missed you Tara!!)
