Beach Fun

We were able to go to Disneyland last week.  On our way back, we stopped at the beach for a little fun.  The water was freezing, but it didn't stop the kids from playing in the water.  It was Hunter's first time at the beach and he LOVED it!!! He got so wet we had to change all of his clothes.  It was so fun to watch them.

Hunter had so much fun chasing the birds.  Feeding them, not so much but chasing was great!!!

Reag loved finding the seashells.  She brought a TON home!

Gingerbread House

We love doing a gingerbread house each year.  We did this for FHE last week and it's always fun to see how long the kids can go without sneaking some candy. 

My Heaven

So I needed some cute pictures of the kids for a project I'm working on, so we decided super last minute to hurry and run to a few places before the sun went down.  We had less than an hour to get a few good ones and it was chilly so we tried to be quick.  Little did I know....we got so many cute ones!!! Below is picture overload, but I seriously couldn't pick just a few.  We have decided to just make CD's of all of our pictures since we make a blog book every year with the "good" pictures included so instead of the bulk and money, just put it on a disc.  Anyways! I love how they turned out!

Nick and I didn't plan on being in any of them so we didn't dress up.  This one was totally unplanned.  Just my sweet hubby being the awesome dad that he is!

I LOVE these temple pictures.  It's always a fun game to see who can spot the temple first while we are driving.  It's SOOOO nice to have one so close that we can visit and talk about often.

This is my heaven.  I seriously cannot think of anything more perfect.  My sweet children being good to each other is pure heaven to me.  I am so thankful to my Heavenly Father every day for blessing me with them.

Fun with family

 Last weekend we had Nick's brother Chauncey come to visit.  He's always fun to have around.  He likes to come play here with friends and stay with us.  Saturday evening Grandma and Grandpa Holt were here shopping so they stopped by to have dinner and we busted out Ticket To Ride (we are obsessed)! After a quick game, we talked them into staying over.  Mark just got released from Bishop so he figured why not?! It's the first time in YEARS he hasn't had a meeting to be to.  They called him as YM President and he thinks that's an easy calling.  That's how you know you've served in the bishopric for 10+ years!!! Anyways, we got the kids in bed, Linda went shopping for the wedding and Christmas; we started watching the rodeo--Mark crashed in the chair and Nick and I wrapped till our fingers bled--not really, but it did take us until 2 in the morning! Anyways, way fun to see them!

This is one of Reag's friends in the neighborhood.  She lives across the street so it's been so nice for her to have a good friend so close.  They have alot of fun together!

Decorating The House

 Last week we got out all of our decorations for the house and the tree.  It was a fun night.  We had popcorn and listened to Christmas music.  The kids and Nick were into it for a little while and then I finished up after everyone got bored!

 Just wanted to show his hair is finally starting to grow back in....thank goodness it's curly and it can be kinda hidden!

This is kinda blurry so it's hard to see the finished product.  We also decorated the house and the outside with lights.  No pictures though! :( We stayed up late a few nights ago and wrapped till 2 am! We got it done though and now just have to wait to see what Santa brings too!

Latest Project

My latest project!!! Ok, so it looks pink here, but trust me, it's not pink! No way! Can you imagine me rockin' the pink! It's a deep red with black antique-y accents.  I completely forgot to take a before picture, of course, but we found this at a yard sale (because I'm addicted to finding solid furniture and fixing it!).  It was white and CHIPPING bad and dirty and soooo GROSS!!! I almost didn't even notice it because it had so much stuff on it.  They wanted $30, I said $20 and they did it!!!! It's super solid, made from Bassett and all 9 drawers open which provides great storage.  I had Nick drill holes in the back so the DVD player, etc can be used in the drawer.  We plan on mounting it on the wall, but for now, it's on the stand.  $20+$30 of paint=AWESOME SAVINGS!!!!
