Hunter has really been into shoes lately. He'll try to put any on even if he still has his own shoes on. Really cute! (Except Nick wished he wouldn't do girl shoes! He can even do my heels!! Nick doesn't like that so much!)

They love baths! They love the water high like a pool and will stay in here for hours. It's great except they always make huge puddles.

Conference Weekend

Hunter was obsessed with this Guns & Ammo magazine for aver an hour. He wanted to read it and loved all the pictures. Papa was in love!!!

Papa's 59th Birthday!

I love Conference Weekend. For me it is like the official kick-off for Fall. The cool weather, fabulously chill weekend, baking for family, a project, and lots of yummy food and smells. It's really one of my happy places. This last conference (and a few extra days!) we had lots of family in town. It was great!!

I had an awesome mom moment yesterday. I was asking Reag after school what color she got and she was so excited because she got a purple. I asked how she earned it. Here's what she said: "Gage was new today at school and she was sad and crying because she missed her mom and dad so I helped her feel better and was her friend today. It felt good like Jesus was there and the Holy Ghost." I gotta tell ya, I teared up a little! :) Then a man after my own heart: Hunter is really into mimmicking me right now and being my little helper. He's already mastered closing doors, throwing things away nnd putting away his clothes and shoes and toys (he likes things put back, it's great!!!) and putting things in the fridge and dryer (when told, not just because!). So, yesterday I asked him to go put something in the dirty clothes. So he gets on his tippy toes, opens the door and tries to jump and put it in the basket on top of the dryer! Be still my heart! Hopefully, he'll stay this way and be my little cleaner. Wouldn't that be nice?!

Total Daddy's Girl

Night before her first day of school. She was sleeping in our room on her princess blow-up bed that Papa got her since G & G Holt were here. She couldn't hardly contain herself!

Reagan started kindergarden on Monday! We've been prepping her for awhile and she got really excited when we bought new supplies and clothes and her bookbag, but when the actual time came, she got really nervous. Thankfully, Nick was there (who she does much better with) and he helped her feel much better. She didn't cry until we were hugging her, then I cried. I hid it well though with my sunglasses. She went in fine though and she has the BEST teacher who is sooooo great!!!! When I picked her up she was so excited and happy and loved school. We went to McDonald's playplace after with friends as a celebration. The next day, she was a little worse. She didn't like the fact that it's every day, all day--different from preschool. Nonetheless, she got teary eyed, but went in fine. Today was better, still a little nervous but no tears, yay!! She's doing great and I just can't believe where the time has gone. Hunter sleeps for most of the time while she's gone, so the house is REALLY quiet. It's weird! I guess for awhile I've wanted quiet and a break, but now that it's here--I get kinda bored with my little buddy gone. Anyways, she's doing good. We love her so much and can't believe that we have a kid in school already!!!

This is how Hunter sleeps. He has a million blankets (there are more at the other end) and stuffed animals with him and has started pulling on the bumper and pretty decorations!! Crazy kid!!!

Daddy Daughter Day

We've really been missing Nick with him working so much out of town, especially his little buddy Reag. They had a special Daddy-Daughter Day together. They went to a movie Reag picked and had snacks and really enjoyed each other. She loves her Daddy sooo much!! They had a great time!

8 Years

Eight years ago today, Nick and I were sealed in the St. George Temple. It was one of the best days of my life. I have loved Nick since I was 12 years old, which sounds silly and it might have only been puppy love and a massive crush at the time, but I knew then and still know now that he is so special. We had such a fun history together before we were even married and since that time, it's only gotten better. We've had such a fun time together already that I can't imagine the next 50 years! We have moved 5 times, earned 2 bachelors, a masters and a pilots license together, had lots of callings, 2 sweet children, 1 dog, bought a house, and have had both memorable times and heartbreaking trials along the way. It hasn't always been roses, but there is no one else that I would rather be with. Nick is an honorable man, full of intergrity, a great husband, friend and father. He makes me laugh and smile everyday. Thank you for giving me a wonderful life. Happy Anniversary Babe!!! I love you this much.

Family and 1st Tooth

Reagan lost her first tooth!!! I swear it seems like we just got through the teething stage and now they are already coming out! She was so excited and but also thinks she looks silly. I made the little tooth pouch and surprised her with it so she would have a special place to put her tooth for the fairy to find. The tooth fairy exchanged the tooth for $2.00! Reagan thinks she's rich! Because she was so worried about looking weird, I think the tooth fairy felt bad and upped the cash this go around. The fairy also left Reag a special certificate and left fairy dust so Reag would know she was there. Reag was really excited and said she was "over it". (Not losing the tooth, just how she was feeling silly.) Guess the money helped! :)

The kids helping me get ready for book club. I love that Hunter is getting older and they play more together. It's lovely, but I also have to referee more and that get's old, QUICK!!!

We always love having family visit and last week we had people here almost the entire week! It was great!!! Nick's sister Andrea and her sweet family are moving closer, so that's way exciting to see them more. They are so great, we love em!!!
