Quick Trip

So, everyone knows I'm a little obsessed with good deals and thankfully Nick is SUPER CHEAP and super good to deal with my crazy!!!!! There was this great bench that I had been eyeing for sale up north.  I kept showing Nick and he wasn't too excited--an awesome bench wasn't exactly high on his "want" list.  I let it go-ish, but noticed it was still for sale a few weeks later.  I asked/begged Nick and he still wasn't super keen.  I said it was a smokin' deal.....he said it wasn't after you add in diesel fuel! :) He's right, but a stink! Anyways, I came home from work on a Friday and must have asked again and persuaded just right because he finally agreed! We always love a road trip and hadn't seen each other much so we jumped in and had a blast! Sometimes you just need to get away and enjoy each other, you know?

We decided that we wanted to just be chill and enjoy the trip and not be rushed--which is not normal! We also wanted to do something different so we stayed at a KOA along the way in these cute little cabins.  It was so fun to do something different and slumber-partyish!! We got there after it closed and they taped this on the door with our key and receipt!!! What the?! We died laughing---only in small towns!!!!

The week before, my sister dared me to get on a dinosaur similar to this at the gas station---which I did! So Reag wanted to take a picture too when she saw one.

After we picked up the bench, we went to one of Nick's favorite stores-- a double Costco-sized store that is a mix of Ace Hardware/Bass Pro/Cal Ranch/IFA.......he was in heaven! Then we went to Gardner Village--one of my faves!  

Remember how I said I wanted to keep it real--hence the finger in the nose picture!

I love how beautiful this picture is.  There was a "popcorn" tree and the wind kept blowing it all around her and she loved it coming down on her.  One of those moments where time stops and I am so thankful for my sweet little blessing!
